The OSU Indoor Target Range is home to Navy ROTC, OSU Pistol Club/Team, OSU Rifle Club/Team, 4-H Sharpshooters and Corvallis Rifle & Pistol Team. This is the largest renovation in the building's history after it's conversion to a target range in 1923 and will provide significant improvement to this historic facility.
Part of this renovation includes permanently naming the range to the "Anderson & Keeling Memorial Target Range" in memory of two key supporters of the Rifle and Pistol Teams at OSU over the years.
While getting a late start on construction, we hope to have the major construction work finished by the start of fall term 2012 and the remaining work to be finished in the coming months. Pistol Club and Rifle club will have full details on our website for when the clubs will start meeting for this academic school year.
Oregon State University is the only university in Oregon to have a target range on campus as well as one of the few universities on the west coast to have active collegiate rifle and pistol teams. This provides OSU students, faculty and staff a unique opportunity to learn rifle and pistol safety/marksmanship and compete in these disciplines. Click here for the full target range history.
